Friday was a pretty big day for Brodie, he got to meet some of the family. Grandpa Ron & Grandma Joan stopped in to see the latest grandchild. I was a little worried when mom was holding him, after all I'm sure she must've dropped Wade when he was a baby, but she did all right!!
Grandpa Hoss & Grandma Jan stopped by too, pretty sure they think their new grandson is a keeper.
Uncle Jeff, Auntie Kristi, and cousins Aidyn & Nolan also dropped by. I didn't think I was ever going to get to hold my son again after Aidyn got him in her lap!! She loved holding him and giving him lots of "sugar" !!! Sure was fun to see how excited she was over her baby cousin!!
Nolan even decided he wanted to hold Brodie, which I think made Kristi a little nervous. He did such a great job and it must've been very hard for him because I have never seen him sit so still for that long!! I don't know how I failed to get pictures of Grandpa Ron, Jeff & Kristi holding him, but I'm going to go ahead and blame it on sleep deprivation!!
Saturday was another big day for all of us, because we got to bring our little bundle of joy home!! It was very exciting for us all, I'm pretty sure that it was the safest I have driven in my entire life. Everyone is doing very well, Lisa is very sore and moving kinda slow but after 18 hours of labor and a C-section I think she is doing better than most people would be. I know I will never ever be able to tease her about not being a tough chic ever again after all that. But you all will have to ask her about trying to con me into believing that she couldn't change a diaper for six weeks since she had surgery!! Brodie is doing just great, and we are trying to get used to his feeding schedule, and the lack of sleep, but we are loving every moment of it!!

The Best Christmas Present
On Christmas day, Lisa and I got the best Christmas present we could hope for!! Introducing our son, Brodie Evan Trapp. I just came home for a few minutes to put this on the blog & take care of the dogs....so I don't have much time. I'm sure there will be alot more pictures in the near future. Oh i better tell you all that he weighed 7lbs 11oz and is 20 inches long. And of course I think he is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen , and I'm not at all biased in my opinion either!!!! Well now its time for me to get back to my wife and son.

Good bye Jess
Last week was a pretty tough week for us, we had to say good bye to Jess. She was my faithful companion, friend, therapist, comedian, and travelling partner for 13 years. She had been staying with my mom and dad til we found a place in the country. Last week they called and said she was sick and the vet didn't think it was very good, but they wanted to do exploratory surgery to find out. Well I guess God must have needed a good dog because the results from the surgery were not good at all, and we didn't want her to suffer any more, so we had to say good bye. I have had her since she was a pup, and she used to love traveling to rodeos with me. Her absolute favorite thing was riding horse. She just loved to follow those dang horses until she was ready to drop, and you could never get the horse saddled fast enough to suit her. As a matter of fact I took her out to the horses the day before she had surgery, and you couldn't even tell she was sick. She will forever be in our hearts and is dearly missed. I would like to say a special thank you to Aidyn for the beautiful picture and note she colored for me. It really meant a lot to me.
Baby Poll
Just a reminder to click and add your guesses for weight, length, date of birth etc...for baby Trapp!!!! Time is running out!!
37 weeks
We are at 37 weeks this week! I can't believe how fast the time has gone so far! If baby Trapp would arrive now, he or she would be considered full term. So I am relieved to be this far along. Everything is looking good. We are being told baby is big! Hopefully not toooooooo big! Haha!
We are so excited to meet baby Trapp!

Thanksgiving
We spent a lovely Thanksgiving with Lisa's folks up in Pelican Rapids, MN. Jeff and Kristi and Aidyn and Nolan, Donna, Craig and Brett, and Patsy were all able to join us and we all ate too much wonderful food and enjoyed lots of visiting and games! It was a very enjoyable weekend and we are so thankful for our wonderful family!
We also enjoyed The Bee Movie with Jeff and Kristi and the kiddos. I think the adults enjoyed it too!

Sasha's Birthday
This past week my little sister turned 30 yrs old. So my brothers and I decided to do something special for her! We hired this guy to come and sing her a birthday-gram and basically embarrass the heck out of her! So Friday, Lisa and I met Sasha and two of my cousins at Paradiso. While we were waiting for our table this guy shows up and did his best to make her blush. Well I certainly enjoyed it, I'm not so sure Sasha liked the balloon hat that he made for her, but we all did. Its not too often that we can get one up on Sasha, so we better enjoy it while we can. I have a funny feeling that she might be looking for revenge now, so I will probably have to go into hiding for every birthday I have from now on. Oh well, it was definitely worth it!!! Happy Birthday Sasha !!!

34 Weeks
Hello everyone! Greetings from MN! We are at 34 weeks and I continue to feel pretty good. I am more uncomfortable, but that is to be expected. We are having good checkups and I continue to do well at work. Not too much ankle swelling and still great blood pressure, even after 12 hour shifts. So, barring anything going wrong, I'll continue to work!
Cody is still on the job hunt! Please continue to help us pray for a job for him. It is getting very frustrating and worrisome, so some extra prayers would be appreciated!! Meanwhile he is a wonderful help around the house as many chores are getting tough for me!
Much love to all and may you all be safe and have a wonderful holiday season!

32 weeks
Hello family and friends! This in NOT the best pic of me, I was really tired, but the belly, now that is something else! 32 weeks and counting! I now can't wait until the 37 week "safety net". That is when you are no longer considered pre-term if one should happen to go into labor then. This is such an exciting journey! Even though my back hurts, I itch like crazy, and I have to pee every 1/2 hour at least, the end results is going to be beyond worth it!
The McDonalds Massacre
For some reason my pregnant wife has been craving McDonalds apple pies lately. So twice in the last 2 weeks we hit the drive thru and placed our orders, but when we get to the window to pick up our food they tell us "sorry, we are all out of apple pies!" The last time this happened I thought for sure my hormonal, pregnant, apple pie craving wife was gonna rip the head off the poor, unsuspecting McDonalds employee. But instead she almost burst into tears! So this week when she said she wanted McDonalds apple pie you can imagine my nervousness. I was pretty sure that if they didn't have any apple pie on this day, it would go down in history as the Great McDonalds Massacre!! But on the other hand, who am I to say no to a 1/4 cheesburger and those delicious fries. So we were on our way!!! Thankfully tragedy was averted, they had apple pie on this day. I don't think those poor employees knew how close they came to seeing the wrath of a hormonal pregnant rampage!! Who would have thought a McDonalds apple pie would have such power over a person.

30 weeks
Hello everyone,
30 weeks! Can you believe it? What an amazing journey. We pray everything continues to go well with the pregnancy. I still feel pretty good. I don't sleep well though. I either have to get up to pee, wake up to itching shoulders and back (no one seems to know why), or I wake up with really back acid reflux, (I am on an acid blocker, but at night it doesn't seem to matter). So sleep would be so lovely! I really don't need to actually PRACTICE sleep deprivation!
We are so excited for this baby, and yet feel unprepared! We can't wait to meet him or her!
We would like to ask for your prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and also prayers for Cody to find a good job. The one he was offered and started seemed to be going well, but they told him that although they thought he was a great person, had a wonderful work ethic and showed lots of enthusiasm, that they didn't think this job was his cup of tea. Needless to say, he is very sad and disappointed, and quite frankly, very stressed out. We are trying to take things a day at a time. Thank you for your support!
Much love,
Lisa and Cody

28 Weeks
We are now at 28 weeks. I had the fun of doing the glucose challenge test today, to test for gestational diabetes. Ick! But I passed the blood test, so not diabetic! (This is just a routine test these days for those of you that are wondering.) We did find out that I have a low hemoglobin so joy of all joys, I get to start iron pills. Oh, well, could be worse! Baby is growing and healthy and we are so excited!

27 Weeks!
Hello Everyone!
We are at 27 weeks today! Can you believe it! January 9th is getting closer! Of course, most moms don't deliver on their due date. (5 % to be exact). So, one never knows! I am feeling great! Both Cody and I are over the stomach virus we had and thankful for that!
We got to spend the past Saturday evening with Jeff, Kristi, Aidyn and Nolan, and also Donna, Craig and Brett. We met for supper in the cities and had a lovely visit.
Cody started his new job yesterday! We are thankful for that and he seems to be liking it.
Take care all!

Job
Hello everyone!
Cody got offered a job and is taking it. He starts Oct. 8th. So that is a relief for both of us as well. He will be working in Stewart, which is south of Litchfield about 25 miles or so. It is a company called Midwest Industrial Tools. So far it sounds very interesting to him. We hope he can end up with day shift instead of evening after his training is done. This job has great benefits and better health care, so we'll be switching family health to his plan for sure!
We are 25 weeks and counting today! So exciting and sometimes overwhelming! It seems there is still so much to do! I am feeling ok except for a bout with a stomach virus this week. Still fighting it.....not much I can do except drink clear liquids and have bland food. It's getting very annoying. Oh well....it could be worse! Thank goodness I have this week off.
Take care all!
See you soon!

23 Weeks
Hello everyone! Well, it's been 3 weeks instead of 2 since my last "baby bump" pic. So here is 23 weeks......I am not at all sure where the heck this baby is gonna go? I don't think there's much more room there! But there has to be!!! 17 weeks left, so there better be more room left! Haha! I am feeling very good and have a healthy appetite. Still the absolutely strange craving for radishes! Weird......I know! I have a co-worker that saw a recipe for radish dip and clipped it for me. I'll let you know how that goes!
Cody has been busy around the house and is job shadowing today at a potential employer. He set up the crib yesterday! So exciting!

Yeah.....they look all cute and innocent.....but while camping in Medora over Labor day weekend, they went to every campsite in our group and mysteriously....everyone's dog food was gone. I am now calling them "Captain Jack and Captain Barbosa", as the seem to have taken to the pillaging and plundering and stealing of booty, in a pirate type of lifestyle!

Baby
Hello everyone!
Cody and I are so very relieved to report that Baby Trapp is perfectly normal.
The level 2 u/s showed no abnormalities whatsoever. They think one of two things. Either the baby never had a cyst, or it was gone within the week we waited for the level 2 u/s.
Thank God! And thank all of you for your many heartfelt prayers!
Much love,
Lisa, Cody and BT!
